Musical Background and mission

I owe my invaluable foundation in music appreciation and musicianship to growing up in a family that valued and was able to support my music education. My parents afforded me the luxury of weekly lessons with violin, piano and percussion teachers from the age of 6 until I graduated from High School. Singing with my sister and mother, learning to harmonize and blend my voice also taught me to appreciate the shared experience of music.

I bring this rich foundation to every project I join, whether on stage or in the studio.

Bio

Following her heart, Amelie moved from Austria to San Francisco, where she built a fulfilling career around her first love—music. “For me, the purpose of making music with and for others is to connect with the people around me. My goal as a musician is to reaffirm our shared humanity and bring it all back to the communal aspect of music,” she says.

Known for her dynamic stage presence and versatility as a multi-instrumentalist, Amelie creates engaging performances, singing and playing simultaneously. She brings the same energy and creativity to her work as a session vocalist, lending her expressive, flexible voice to a growing number of video game and film projects. Her credits include Sony PlayStation titles such as Death Stranding 2 and Concrete Genie, as well as Bungie’s Destiny 2: Revenant and the VR game Stay: Forever Home for Meta Quest. She also records vocals for Meta’s music library.

Combining her experience as a professional musician with her background in education, Amelie serves as Assistant Director of the Roots, Jazz, and American Music Program (RJAM) at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she supports and empowers developing female and femme-identifying artists. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English, Psychology, Philosophy, and Pedagogy from the University of Vienna.

Amelie Anna has collaborated with artists such as Jonathan Blake, Luther Allison, David Flores, Martin Luther McCoy, Keith Saunders, Eric Jekabson, John Wiitala, Frank Martin, George Brooks, Anne Sajdera, Akira Tana, and Tongo Eisen-Martin.
